Lee Davey

I'm based at Southampton in Hampshire and cover the whole of Southern England.
I'm also happy to travel nationally and internationally as required.

About me

I got my first 'posh' camera when I was 13 years old, as I had fallen in love with photography when I was even younger. I'd saved up for it for ages from pocket money, Christmas and birthday money, doing little paid jobs (I washed a lot of cars and cut a lot of grass), and eventually pester power meant that my Dad also chipped in a big chunk towards it too.

Now that I'm the wrong side of 50 I still love photography, but even more so, and I still have that first camera on a shelf at home in my office, to remind me of how things started.  I'm a skilled photographer and now I have lots of posh cameras and kit.  But I don't think those are the only important ingredients:  Yes, having the technical skills and knowledge as well as a creative flair is essential to take great photos, especially if I'm being paid by someone.  It is also true that the right equipment helps a lot for reliability, efficiency and consistent high quality results.

However,  I think what is just as vital, if not more so, is the right personality.   This is where I think I can make a positive difference for my clients:  Let's face it, not everyone likes having their photos taken - even though I'm a photographer I'd much rather be behind the lens than in front of it!   I'll help you feel relaxed and confident during any photo session, so that in the times to come when you look back at your images,  you'll have wonderful memories of what a great day you had.
